TO: APPLICANTS who have been approved by the Florida Board of Auctioneers to take the state auctioneer license examination
SUBJECT: ONLINE EXAM REVIEW conducted by Florida Auctioneer Academy
COST: $35 for Academy Graduates
Since the beginning of auctioneer license testing in 1987, Florida Auctioneer Academy has offered a 6-hour review held near the test site on the day before the state examination. This doesn’t work with computer based testing (CBT) in many different locations, so we designed a comprehensive review with math, law, UCC and general auction questions plus our 200 question self-grading review test in four 50-question segments to simulate the 50-question state exam. All this is available on the Internet on the week preceding each monthly state exam.
The material used in the review is similar to that in our auctioneer classes, and we recommend our graduates study their workbooks as well as the review material to prepare for the license exam.
Advantages of computer testing include the convenience of frequent testing, numerous testing sites and immediate exam scores. The testing service provides instructions, but if you are not used to reading a computer screen you may want to practice before test day.
If you cannot find access to the Internet, you may use the Academy’s computer. If you have a problem with any of the review questions, just ask us.
The exam review is not mandatory; however, most of the applicants who took the 200-question test before the May 18th exam have told us they felt confident and well prepared - it’s good insurance!
